B’MOREARTISTIC

My mother has recently moved to the state of Maryland just last winter and I finally got the chance to give her a visit this Memorial Day weekend. She lives right in the center of Baltimore at the top of Federal Hill which gives her a nice view of the Inner Harbor. I decided to take a wander on my visit to get a better feel of what the city may bring and I must say this city has so much to offer.

I found my self wondering towards an area that seemed to be abandon and not yet developed with new lives. I believe this part of town was the Westside. The old abandoned industrial buildings seemed very exciting and was constantly wondering how I could get my self inside.  The side streets seemed a bit more entertaining the main. I felt like I was in movie scenes the whole time.

The smell of a dead rat or dead body was steaming out that little hole. The type face throughout these blocks seemed to be faded for quite some time now.

I was very excited to see this part of town had somewhat of a creative outlet. Never more excited to see new works of art.

I would love to have my apartment centered right here please! I can only imagine how live this block was back in the 70s early 80s.

Ted doesn’t seem like an interesting movie but more work from this artist would be great.

I need to figure out how to wheat paste. They make such a good use of wooden planks out here.

The egg and dart and metope only makes this building more interesting. The facades on the whole block seem to be heavily worked on.

I get more and more exciting knowing the endless possibilities of the town.I really like this whole wall. The art work seems to be well thought and the beige paint that somewhat covers it up just adds to its greatness.

If you were feeling horny these numbers might be able to satisfy you.

So Good.

Color choice is on point.

Some really sick wheat pasting techniques along with skittles. Trayvon Martin R.I.P.

Camo.

Is this the wheat paste look?

Someone was really on there Kony2012 tip.

Wonder what this bright orange store once was.Sorry if i offend the artist but I get a South Park vibe off those mountains with some gnome like creatures involved. Wheat paste always looks good around these areas.

This work of art is really sick. Each baby has an individual look, I would hate to be the daddy.

Bay windows that just need a little retouching.

I want to go inside! I read that a commercial developing firm is selling this for 17.1 million dollars. I guess they see the endless possibilities of this side of town.

Useful information.

Not sure if this is work from street artist Gaia but I think he is from Baltimore and it looks similar to his Wynwood Walls mural. It it’s not sorry for the mistake.

North Howard street seems empty but I bet twenty years this block will be back to normal.

Enter the cat door.

Riding dinosaurs seems pretty chill around Baltimore. This Painting brings a happy vibe to the desolate area.

This could be a really sick workshop or studio, what have you.

Get that feel.

Art deco.

Store front and house in one.

If you need a new weave I am sure this place could hook you up.

The art scene in Baltimore seems to be a lot better then whats going on in New York City. I will be traveling back and forth to visit my mother from time to time so I do hope to meet a few people out there and do plan to see more great work. The city has so much potential to grow in to something amazing. Glad to see its filled with creativity.
